Setting Up SONOS Just Got Easier

For those who don't know, we proudly carry Sonos here at CityMac. In addition to providing a high-quality wireless audio experience, the Sonos system is well-known for its simple setup process. On September 2nd, Sonos released a major update that makes setting up your system easier than ever. Before this update, the Sonos network required one speaker or a Sonos BRIDGE to be plugged in via ethernet to your home router. Now, you can set up Sonos over your existing WiFi network - wirelessly.

Apple's September 9th Media Event at CityMac

Continuity: Apple Products Working Together

The thing I love most about Apple is how their products interact together. By designing both the hardware and software for their devices, Apple has created a cohesive and intuitive environment that enables products to work seamlessly together, ultimately improving the experience for the end user. Apple has now dubbed its system of allowing products to work together beautifully, "Continuity." Apple announced some exciting new features regarding Continuity between OS X Yosemite and iOS 8. Mail Updates in OS X Yosemite

While Apple is revered for some of their software applications, they are commonly criticized for others. In OS X Mavericks, the Mail app was a commonly criticized application. A Quick Look at OS X Yosemite

Exactly one month ago, Apple introduced a preview of the next version of the Mac operating system, OS X 10.10 Yosemite. When you first look at Yosemite, the biggest thing that stands out is the new design overhaul. This design is very similar to the change from iOS 6 to iOS 7 last year. While the desktop interface still looks familiar enough, it has been overhauled with the same flat design and translucency apparent in iOS 7. Apple's Sleep/Wake Button Replacement Program for iPhone 5

Apple recently started a replacement program for defective sleep/wake buttons on the iPhone 5. This issue has only affected phones manufactured prior to March 2013. If you think your iPhone 5 has a broken sleep/wake button and was manufactured before March 2013, you can bring it in to your nearest CityMac location and get your phone fixed and returned to you within 6 days!
