What is Force Touch?

Every so often, Apple coins a new term to describe a new product or feature of a product. These terms tend to be rather vauge and confusing for those who do not keep a constant tap on the Cupertino tech giant. From the Retina Display to Space Gray, Apple terminology usually requires a bit of explanation. With the release of Apple Watch, the new MacBook and the updated 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display, Apple's new hot term is Force Touch. Force Touch refers to both the new trackpad technology of the new MacBook and 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display as well as an entirely new gesture for Apple devices.

Apple's March 9th Event Wrap Up

Apple unveiled new products during its March 9 event. The MacBook lineup saw performance upgrades in both the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro. A newly redesigned MacBook entered the Mac notebook lineup. Apple TV received a new lower price point of $69. The majority of the keynote focused on the Apple Watch and iOS 8.2 also was released to the public.

Apple's "Spring Forward" March 9 Event

Apple sent out media invitations on February 26, 2015 for an event being held on March 9, 2015. This event is rumored to be mainly about the Apple Watch, with information such as price points, battery life and other details that Apple has not currently released. Apple also is rumored to announce an updated MacBook Air.

12" Retina MacBook Air Rumors

With the introduction of the new 5K Retina HD iMac last October, Apple has incorporated its “Retina” display technology into almost every one of its flagship products (MacBook Pro, iMac, iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch) with one exception: the MacBook Air. The 11” and 13” MacBook Air received a small update and spec bump in April 2014, but all in all - it really hasn’t changed too much since its initial debut in 2008. While nobody knows surefire details about Apple’s upcoming products until they’re announced, there is a lot of speculation regarding a new Retina MacBook Air that will hopefully launch later this year.

How to Set Up Comcast Email Using IMAP

If you are a user of Comcast’s email service, you might have noticed that your inbox does not sync up between devices. For example, you might open your Comcast email on your iPhone and delete a few emails, moving some into folders. Then, you open your Comcast email on your computer and notice that none of those changes have transferred over between devices. Don't worry, nothing is wrong with your account - this is just how Comcast emails work by default. The reason is because Comcast email uses POP and not an IMAP connection.
