How to Stream the Super Bowl for Free

It’s hard to imagine more excitement surrounding this year’s Super Bowl. With the Seahawks returning as defending champions, after their nerve-charing NFC Championship game against the Greenbay Packers, the air is charged with the building seismic roar of the 12s as Sunday approaches. The only thing that could ramp up the excitement level is news that NBC will stream this years game for free.

Here’s how to watch Super Bowl XLIX for free:

Super Bowl XLIX, Sunday, February 1st at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., Kickoff will be at 6:30pm ET (3:30pm PT).

On the Mac: NBC will be showing the event in full, including pre-game show, Katy Perry’s halftime show, and post-game commentary, on NBC.com beginning noon ET (9:00am PT).

On the iPad: NBC’s Sports Live Extra app is your ticket to the event on your iPad. Although this app is available for both iPhone and iPad, the iPhone will not be able to stream the event through the app because NBC just doesn’t have the rights to it. But don’t worry, just keep reading!
