Apple Launches Official Support Account for Twitter

Apple Announces Official Twitter Support Page

On March 3, Apple launched a new Twitter account for providing technical support and tips to customers. Their new Twitter account, @AppleSupport, offers free support to users who tweet questions regarding Apple products or services.

Wondering how to contact Apple Support? Simply Tweet your question to @AppleSupport. Since its inception, the Apple Support Twitter account has been extremely active - responding to hundreds of customer inquiries per hour. If you have a quick question, @AppleSupport will usually respond with a link - directing you to an Apple webpage providing additional information and help. If your question is a bit more complicated, @AppleSupport may ask you to Direct Message (DM) them. DM allows Twitter users to message each other without tweeting publicly to their followers.

Tips

Apple Support’s Twitter account is not just for helping you when an issue arises, they also tweet useful tips. For example, @AppleSupport has tweeted about storing photos in iCloud Photo Library and how to turn lists into checklists in the Notes app. The @AppleSupport account aims to help users learn more about the devices and applications they use every day.

Apple currently does not have an official company social media account on Twitter or Facebook. Apple does, however, have official pages for different Apple services - including the App Store, Apple Music, iTunes, iBooks and Beats 1.

Apple’s other Twitter Support accounts include @AppleMusicHelp and @BeatsSupport.
