Introducing TotalCare+ for Mac

Introducing TotalCare+ for Mac

At CityMac, we recommend AppleCare with every new Mac. Applecare extends your one-year hardware warranty to three years and gives you access to 3 years of Apple’s award-winning technical phone support. While AppleCare covers manufacturer’s defects and hardware issues, it does not cover accidental damage.

That’s why we’re introducing an AppleCare add-on called TotalCare+ for just $99

TotalCare+ in Summary

Repairs for accidental damage like cracked screens and drop/fall/collision damage can be expensive - ranging anywhere from $300 to $900+ depending on the model and amount of damage. Liquid spills can be even more devastating and usually require an entirely new logic board and additional parts. Even with Applecare, instances like drop and liquid damage are not covered.

With TotalCare+, all you pay is a $250 service fee in the case that your Mac breaks as a result of accidental damage. Our Apple Authorized Service Center will get your computer up and running as quick as possible.

the TotalCare+ process

With TotalCare+, you’re Mac is completely covered and protected. AppleCare will ensure you get free repairs for any hardware issues and TotalCare+ will ensure you’re covered in case of accidental damage. TotalCare+ also includes a $75 credit towards replacing a consumed battery, ensuring your computer will always be up and running 100%.

Time Capsule and the Importance of Backups

the AirPort router lineup

TotalCare+ is the perfect way to make sure your computer is covered in the event of an accident, but the data on the computer is another story. In case of hard drive failure, it’s always wise to have a backup. Every Mac includes Time Machine, a program which automatically backs up your Mac to an external hard drive. All you need to get started with Time Machine is an external hard drive. Time Capsule is an Apple wireless router combined with a wireless hard drive that allows you to wirelessly backup your Mac without having to worry about plugging in a drive. They come in both 2TB and 3TB sizes for $299 and $399, respectively.
