Apple Special Event Roundup: New Products

On March 21, Apple held a special event at their headquarters in Cupertino, California. Apple introduced new iPhone and iPad Pro models along with new Apple Watch bands. Let's take a closer look at Apple's new products.

iPhone SE

The iPhone SE is a new 4-inch iPhone available in Silver, Space Gray, Gold, or Rose Gold and in two storage options: 16GB and 64GB. iPhone SE has the same design as an iPhone 5s, but boasts powerful new internal parts. The iPhone SE offers a 2x faster CPU than the iPhone 5s, ability to film 4k video, take Live Photos and more. The iPhone SE possesses processing power similar to that of an iPhone 6s, but in a 4-inch screen.

In introducing the iPhone SE, Apple appeals to a segment of smartphone users who desire smaller devices without sacrificing power and performance. Individuals who did not enjoy the increase in size brought on by the introduction of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus should check out the iPhone SE.

iPhone SE starts at just $399 or free with a two-year contract and is available for order on March 24, 2016.

New iPad Pro

In the Fall of 2015, Apple introduced the new 12.9-inch iPad Pro. During the March Special event, Apple introduced a new 9.7-inch iPad Pro. The new iPad Pro is available in four colors: Silver, Space Gray, Gold, and Rose Gold. It comes in three storage sizes - 32GB, 128GB and 256GB. Apple also announced a new 256GB model of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. These 256GB iPads offer the most storage space of all the iOS devices.

The new iPad Pro starts at $599 and will be available for order on March 24, 2016.

New Apple Watch Bands

New Apple Watch BandsApple released new Apple Watch bands along with lowering the entry price of the Apple Watch Sport model. The new Apple Watch Bands include woven nylon bands in 7 new colors priced at just $49. There are new Sport Bands, Leather Loops, Modern Buckles, Classic Buckles, and a new Space Black Milanese Loop. The 38mm Apple Watch Sport is now priced at $299 and the 42mm Apple Watch Sport is priced at $349.
