1. Three Colored Dots

Close. Minimize. Full Screen.

Keyboard Shortcuts:

Close: Command + W

Minimize: Command + M

Full Screen: Control + Command + F

2. Side by Side Windows

This feature allows two windows to be in full screen mode at the same time right next to each other. Requires OS X 10.11 El Capitan or later.

3. Spotlight

Spotlight is the search tool on the Mac. It allows users to search for anything on their Mac, do some calculations, and other things.

Keyboard Shortcut: Command + Space Bar

4. Force Quit

Force Quit is the application used when another application becomes unresponsive or freezes. It allows the user to quit the application when other ways of quitting it won’t work.

Keyboard Shortcut: Option + Command + Escape

5. Renaming Documents

This feature is very handy when needing to change the file name of a document. Just right click the document and press rename, or click on the document and press the return key. To save the new file name, just press the return key.
