Apple Announces Recall for AC Wall Plug Adapters and World Travel Adapter Kit

Apple has announced a new recall for certain AC Wall Plug Adapters and World Travel Adapters. Apple says that the adapters affected were sold between 2003 and 2015 and were designed for the following countries:

  • Continental Europe
  • Australia
  • New Zealand
  • Korea
  • Argentina
  • Brazil

Free Replacement for Affected Models

The recall has been started as a result of incidents of an electrical shock at times. An exchange program has been created for the adapters, if yours is one of the affected models, there are several options you can do to get yours replaced for free. You can either exchange it at your local Apple Store, CityMac, Authorized Apple Service Provider, or contact Apple Support.
